Most finance leaders buy systems.
I build them.

Procurement portals, ERP migrations, HRIS rollouts, BI platforms, and the integrations that make six systems behave like one. That work has shown up in every role I've held since 2007, whether or not it was in the job description.

Today that means a multi-entity healthcare group — specialty and compounding pharmacy, ambulatory infusion centers, and a physician practice — where the close calendar, the cash projection, and the vendor workflows all run on things I built.

    Patient Refund Management Portal

    End-to-end workflow for patient credit-balance refunds across multiple operating entities. Submitters file with evidence, a risk panel surfaces duplicate patients and shared addresses before anything moves, approvers clear at entity-configured thresholds, and approved refunds push straight into Bill.com. Next.js, Supabase, Entra ID for identity and external submitter access.

  • Cedarwood Labs

    SquareSet

    Scheduling and check-in for social dance clubs. NFC and QR check-in, a live floor display driven over SSE, and a pairing algorithm that keeps dancers mixing instead of settling into the same squares all night. Next.js, Supabase, Stripe.

    Sage Intacct, twice

    Led ERP migrations at two companies a decade apart. Both landed as GAAP-aligned process change, not a software swap.

  • 2011

    Two platforms, one cutover

    Replaced a pharmacy information system and a document workflow platform simultaneously, then opened a patient-facing portal on top of it.

Same instinct, different instruments. Two systems that were never meant to talk to each other, made to — whether that's a reverb unit and a console, or a catalog and a server in the basement.

Behind the glass

Front of house on DiGiCo, SSL, and Allen & Heath, through d&b systems, with Waves SuperRack carrying the processing. The project I'm proudest of is unglamorous: integrating a Bricasti M7 into an SD10's snapshot system, so scene changes fire the outboard reverb in step with the desk. Nobody in the room notices when it works. That's the job.

Photography

Weddings, portraits, events, and whatever happens to be in front of me. Sony Alpha bodies and Zeiss glass, exclusively — a decision made once and never relitigated. It's an archive rather than a business: twenty years of frames I'm glad I took, kept properly, and mostly shown to the people in them.

Listening

A room measured and corrected rather than guessed at. Electrostatic panels are unforgiving about placement and worth every inch of the argument. The streamer's factory supply lasted about a week before it was replaced.

The rack downstairs

Overbuilt on purpose. Gateways in a high-availability pair so a failed console doesn't take the house offline, three WANs so a cut fiber is an inconvenience rather than an outage, and enough storage that nothing has to be deleted to make room. It is a lab, and the point of a lab is to break things somewhere that doesn't matter.
